Ever since I can remember, it has been on my list of things that I wanted to do before I turned forty. So last month when a friend of mine told me that she was going there to visit family, I was pleasantly surprised when she asked me if I wanted to go with her.
Of course I was going to say yes! And now that I am home, I am so glad that I got to experience such a wonderful place, if even for a short time. The people in Romania were so welcoming and friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer so we could see and do more things, but I guess that will have to wait until next time. I don’t have much time now to write about all of the different things that I experienced in Romania, but will write more another time.
Something that makes me feel better about coming home is that I have a lot of pictures to go through of my trip. I took so many pictures not just of the sites, but also of the people we met while in Romania. I made lots of new friends and am so glad that I captured most of their faces in my pictures. I will always treasure the time I spent on my first trip to Romania.

Developers enlisted the help of a couple of men, a hotel owner and a railroad conductor, to create a way to keep the casinos and hotel lobbies free of sand. The idea of an eight-foot wide foot walk constructed from wood was the way to go.
After five thousand dollars in construction costs, the first boardwalk was celebrated with a big dedication ceremony on June 16 1870. Built 10 feet wide in sections of 12 feet. For many years, the boardwalk was removed at the close of summer. It was taken down and moved into storage for safety during the winter.
No stores were permitted within thirty feet of the Boardwalk. By 1883 the Boardwalk was In need of repairs. The city council allowed the Boardwalk to be rebuilt this time and the Council tossed the no commerce ban. Quickly the Boardwalk gave homes to dozens of retailers and tourist attractions.
The Boardwalk had to be replaced twice more, once in 1884 and again in 1889. Each rebuild made the boardwalk longer and wider. Built taller so that the tide could wash underneath and safer. The designers weren’t too concerned with safety. Due to the lack or rails, there were almost daily accounts of people falling; most of the time it was teenagers horsing around.
The original length of the boardwalk was one mile long. Now the boardwalk extends from it’s home in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Ventnor City. The boardwalk is over six miles long and 60 feet wide, making this boardwalk the worlds[s longest boardwalk.
The 1920’s brought life to the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Concerts, shows, and tons of exhibits were only a few of the excitement found on the boardwalk. Even the first national beauty pageant was part of the legendary boardwalk. It also has busy cities and a huge capital that make it more cosmopolitan than people think. Romania has become very developed over the last decade and people who are used to the western part of Romania have a hard time seeing it this way. There are some beautiful sites in Romania that visitors seem to be captured by when they are there. There are 3 certain sites that just seem more beautiful every time you see them.
#1: Romanian Atheneum. This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. It is a concert hall that resembles the look of a temple. The façade is old and will take your breath away. This is a great place to hear classical Bucharest music by the local orchestra of this area. The outside of the building also has mosaics of 5 Roman rulers that helped build this amazing building.
#2: Stavropoleos Church. This is the most beautiful church in the city. Prince Nicolae built it in 1724. It combines Ottoman and western styles together to form a remarkable building and gorgeous décor on the inside. The inside is all wood and stone carvings that accent the tall ceilings and wall paintings.
#3: The Village Museum. The Village Museum was built in 1936 and houses over 300 houses, windmills, churches, etc. from all over the country. The oldest houses date back as far as 17C and they are the only ones of this kind. They were bought to stay part of historical pieces and to be kept in their original states for people to visit. This museum offers a lovely stroll among rolling hills to show just what Romania was like in those times.
Continue Reading »Romania is difficult to explain: it is vast and open, yet metropolitan. It is a member of the European Union, but borders the expanse of the Siberian tundra the east. Romania’s historic and modern sides are best evidenced by the dichotomy of Bucharest and Transylvania. In terms of size, Romania is the ninth largest country in the European Union but, largely thanks to Bucharest, Romania boasts the seventh largest population in the European Union.
Bucharest is a real marvel, dating back to the days of Vlad the Impaler. Throughout the 18th and 19th centuries Bucharest was destroyed and rebuilt many times, each time adding more character to the city that refused to disappear. Finally, in 1861, Bucharest fulfilled its destiny, becoming the capital of the newly established nation of Romania. The rest of the country, however, is mainly agricultural.
The geography of Romania is stunning, with the Carpathian Mountains looming massive in the center of the country while plateaus and plains surround it. To the east is the Black Sea, and to it run many rivers and tributaries, most notably the Danube, which flows into the Black Sea at the Danube Delta, one of the most stunning deltas in the world and the best preserved delta in all of Europe.
With its plethora of mountains and rivers, plains and plateaus, it should come as no surprise that the flora and fauna of Romania are exquisitely diverse. Many of these fascinating species can be found at the Retezat National Park and Rodna National Park, both biosphere reserves which house innumerable beauties that juxtapose the modern metropolis of Bucharest quite nicely.

These people are extremely nice but I have never heard of so many rules in one house in my life. No yelling, no swearing, no shoes, no hats, don’t miss dinner, don’t be late, bed time is 10 pm sharp, and the list goes on and on. The one rule I thought would kill me; no smoking.
I guess it never crossed my mind to include that piece of information about myself on my application, but smoking has been a habit for the last few years. I had no idea what I was going to do—it wasn’t like I could just quit cold turkey like it was the easiest thing in the world. Luckily one of the girls at school let me borrow a magazine that offered the answer I desperately needed.
At first glance, I automatically skipped over the e-cigarette reviews and offers in the middle of the magazine. Then it suddenly hit me that these V2 cigs the ads were raging about could be just what I was looking for. I did major electronic cigarettes research and found out that because they have nicotine but no smoke and no smell, I could still get my fix and no one would even have to know. I could smoke in that overly ruled house and they would have no clue.
I found out that Europe actually happens to be one of the biggest makers of electronic cigarettes so it definitely would not be hard to find something quick. Green Smoke and V2 cigs (Click Here) seemed to be the two companies that got the most attention from electronic cigarette reviews online but I really wanted something that I could pick up locally.
I went back to the magazine and found a V2 Cigs coupon code for a little shop not far from school and decided to take a look. The e-cig was definitely the answer to my problem! It was just like smoking a real cigarette- complete with a red light at the end and a vapor that you exhale instead of smoke. They even have different flavors that you can buy—I’m definitely a fan of the cinnamon.
Now I don’t have to suffer through withdrawals and the frustration that comes with trying to give up smoking altogether. I can work through it at my own pace and keep smoking the e-cig until I decide I don’t need the nicotine anymore. Traditional cigarettes are completely out of the picture now—thankfully I don’t have to sneak around for a smoke anymore since there’s no telling what the punishment would be.
Even though it wasn’t really my first choice, I am so happy that I found electronic cigarettes. I had no idea that there was something equally satisfying that doesn’t take such a toll on my health. Without all the carcinogens and other poison they load into cigarettes and absolutely no second hand smoke, e-cigs pose very little risk to your health. Not to mention that cigarettes cost twice as much in France—now at least I can afford to do a little European shopping.

Tramadol is a great example of a drug that would be great to purchase online. It provides pain relief, so wouldn’t it be nice not to have to go out and pick it up? There are definite benefits to buying prescription tramadol online, but there are some downsides to be aware of too.
Prescription Tramadol is the generic name for a drug called Ultram. It is a pain reliever for moderate to severe pain primarily although it can have other uses as your doctor prescribes. The benefits of Tramadol is that it is a non narcotic and works on the pain receptors in the brain just like an opiate would. It is an excellent option to purchase this medication online. If you are already hurting, why would you want to keep going out to pick up your medication? When you are suffering from chronic lower back pain the last thing you are going to want to do is to get in and out of the car in order to pick up your medicine. The ability to buy Tramadol online from the comfort of our own homes now changes from just being convenient to being essential when you are suffering from severe chronic pain.
It can certainly be found cheaper online as well. Let’s face it, medication is expensive. Generic or brand name, medications are increasing in price at a rapid rate. It is hard to afford all those medication co pays when you are paying for multiple prescriptions each month. And if you are suffering from severe chronic pain, it is likely to say that you are having difficulty working and therefore your income is even more limited. With some medications they may be found on a discount list at your local drug store. Or you may be able to get them cheaper mail order through your pharmacy. But more than likely your cheapest Ultram is going to come from online pharmacies that have very little overhead that they pass on to their consumers. Many consumers are also starting to Buy Amoxicillin and Buy Tetracycline online to reduce their wallet’s suffering.
This leads into the danger of buying online. Although Tramadol is a non narcotic it still can be addictive in its properties. Unfortunately with some online pharmacies, they are not regulated and it becomes easy for patients with an addiction to this drug to forge prescriptions with little chance of being caught. It is also common for a patient with Tramadol addiction to visit multiple providers to get different copies of scripts that they then turn and submit to online pharmacies to Buy Tramadol 50mg. This only fuels their addiction and ruins their lives as they cannot stop they cycle of addiction themselves. If you are buying with a legitimate script from your family doctor, then this is nothing to worry about. However, if you are showing signs of addiction it is important that you get help right away.
Another downside of buying Tramadol online is that you do not have anyone regulating the product in many of the online pharmacies. You will want to be especially careful to make certain you are using a reputable company in which to purchase your medications, to include Fioricet. You will also want to compare prices for prescription Tramadol between companies to see which will give you the best price on your medication.
All in all, buying medication online can be an incredible option for many people if done correctly.
I have never smoked in my life, but somehow I managed to get married to a smoker. We do have house rules about smoking indoors but in all honesty, I feel bad making the rules stick. We are farmers with a whole lot of tractors and enclosed cabs that definitely get smoked in. I drive that equipment sometimes and I get out of the cab smelling of cigarettes. My husband tries to behave and not smoke in the car or pickup but sometimes when we are on a long trip he will have a smoke. I am at the point now where I am tired of cigarettes ruining my space.
My husband has always been open-minded about my issues with smoking. He always said that if I could give him a good substitute that gave us both what we wanted, he would try it. For years I looked for something that would take away the things I hated most about cigarette smoking, the smoke and the health risks. Imagine my joy when I came across information about electronic cigarettes while searching for cigarette alternatives.
My attention was caught at the first electronic cigarette reviews that I found online! From this one review I learned all about Green Smoke electronic cigarette which is one of the most popular brands of e-cigs available. It is no wonder this innovative company is popular; every order comes with a new atomizer and they offer cartridges in 7 flavors. Green Smoke cartridges come in five different levels of nicotine ranging from zero to 18 mg. The more I read the more I liked about e-cigs.
I knew that if I stood any chance of getting my husband to give up cigarettes my pitch would have to be good. I looked at more e cigarette reviews and learned all I could about the best e cigarette brands currently available on the market. From the Safe Cig reviews I learned that you can also get electronic cigars; my husband has been known to enjoy cigars on special occasions so this was good news to me. I also learned that e-cigs are way less expensive than regular cigarettes. One Safe Cig e-cig cartridge is equivalent to one pack of cigarettes but it costs less than $3. I even found a Safe Cig coupon code online that allowed me to save even more on a starter kit!
I consulted an online electronic cigarette buyer’s guide and decided it was time to place an order. I decided on a Premium electronic cigarette starter kit for my husband and it was the best thing I ever did for my husband and me. He is happy with his new smokes and I am happy with him now that he is not smoking cigarettes.
Continue Reading »I had been visiting Romania a few years ago when I encountered a really long layover on the trip home. I was stuck in the Seattle airport for twelve hours. It wasn’t long enough to justify paying for a hotel room, but it was long enough to make me miserable for a full day. All I had in my carry on bag was my cell phone and my laptop so I decided to use the airport’s WIFI access and play some online games while I waited.
When I got online, I stumbled across an article about the top ten casinos on the internet. I was intrigued to find out what the best nline casinos actually were so I started reading. The article told about the common favorites like EuroGrand Casino and the ritzy William Hill casino that I had played on before. I noticed some links to the side and started clicking through to read more about the world of online gambling.
I found entire sites dedicated to UK casino reviews. These sites detailed where you could play the best games in any individual gambling sport. If you liked poker, there was an online poker review to tell you all of the best poker hot spots on the internet. If you were more or a blackjacks kind of gambler, there were online blackjack reviews to look through. The one that surprised me most was a link for online bingo reviews. I had no idea that bingo was even offered as a gambling game, but apparently it is all the rage in Europe right now and is spreading in popularity around the internet.
As I explored the various casino sites on the internet, I didn’t even notice that the time was passing quite quickly. Before the layover had ended, I had already played blackjack and poker on three different casino sites and I had decided that I had found a new hobby that I could enjoy for weeks, months, and even years to come. Online casinos saved me from a boring layover that lasted for hours. While I played some fun games, the time ticked by and soon I was on my way home with pictures of Romania to show to my friends and family. Next time I’m stuck in an airport, I’ll definitely remember to play casino games again!
Continue Reading »When I was a sophomore in college, I had the opportunity to spend a semester as a foreign exchange student. I saw the flyer in the student center and saw a list of the exciting places that students would get to visit. It listed lots of exotic destinations like Paris, the Caribbean, Jamaica and New Zealand. I quickly grabbed a form and informed my parents that studying abroad was the perfect choice for me so they signed on the dotted line, trusting that I knew what I was getting myself into.
Three months later, I stepped off the airplane into the country of Romania where I would study for six months. It wasn’t exactly the tropical place I had hoped for, but I was still excited to explore the new country and all of the adventures it had to offer. After about a week, I had settled into my little dorm apartment and was in a comfortable routine of attending classes. After school, things got a little boring though.
No one around spoke English and I was the only foreign exchange student living in my dorm. So going out to the hottest parties wasn’t exactly an option since I couldn’t even ask my dorm neighbors where they liked to go hang out on Saturday nights. Instead, I found myself homesick getting on the internet to find something in English to occupy my time. That is when I discovered my love for bingo sites.
I was surfing the net, looking at various games to find something to do on a Saturday evening when the dorm was quiet and I was all alone. I ran across a list of the new bingo sites 2011 and started clicking through them. I had played bingo as a kid and figured it would offer me some mindless entertainment for a little while. Much to my surprise, I fell in love with playing bingo!
My favorite sites are Tasty Bingo and the ever popular Posh Bingo and I make it a habit to play every evening. I played the entire semester that I spent in Romania and even after I made it home, I continued my online bingo hobby because it was a lot of fun. I’ll never forget my trip to Romania. Even though it wasn’t exactly what I would have originally expected from a semester abroad, it was still a fun experience that I will always remember.
Continue Reading »Online gaming is becoming more and more popular all around the world. Whether you live in the United States or in Romania, you have probably heard of the all the great sites that give visitors a chance to play bingo games online. If you have still not tried any of these games you are missing out.
Those who are not missing out are the people in Romania. They are simply in love with all of the different types of bingo they find online. For some, free online bingo is what they love the best. And who would not like to be able to play a game for free. Bingo is meant to be a great source of entertainment and being able to play it at home is such a great idea.
Though playing for free is definitely a draw for some Romanian players, others enjoy games that offer a bingo bonus. We all love bonuses and this definitely makes the game more interesting and appealing to a wider audience. Perhaps you have visited a site that offers the Virgin Bingo Bonus so you understand what bingo players love about the site.
Another way the people of Romania find the bingo sites they like to play is by checking out online reviews of the sites. A review is an important part of learning about any product, but especially about how well liked a game is. Since some of the games that you may be playing will likely cost a bit of money, you will want to find one that you enjoy playing and have a good chance at winning.
Though it is hardly a good reason to play or not play, it is important to note that bingo is a game of luck. The Romanians love the game of bet365 bingo in spite or because of this reason, depending on how you look at it. Not knowing if you will win can be part of the fun, but may also be difficult for some. If you are not ready to spend money on a game of chance, consider trying the free games before moving onto the other games. You may be ready for the more advanced games before you know it and then you will join the many players in Romania who have a love for bingo.
